The School of Science and Technology has a particularly strong research focus, with over 75% of Research in the Engineering Research Centre is conducted mainly in the areas of aerospace engineering and signal processing and control, while that in the Materials Science Research Centre is mostly concerned with water soluble polymers, hydrocolloids and photovoltaics. There is also a group working on the development of holographic optical coatings.

 

Its research rated as of international standing or higher, including work rated as world-leading, in the 2008 Research Assessment Exercise. The School has two research centres, namely the Engineering Research Centre and the Materials Science Research Centre, but academic staff in the School are also involved in research in computer science.

Positive feedback for ILM at Glyndwr

Wed 25th, Jan

In 2010, the Northwest Regional Development Agency (NWDA) contacted Glyndwr Innovations Ltd to manage and deliver ILM Level 7 training in Executive Coaching and Mentoring to fifty individuals who were engaged as mentors on the NWDA Business Mentoring Programme. The Business Mentoring Programme was a large-scale mentoring programme designed and managed by Mpulse on behalf of the NWDA.
