The Centre for Defence Enterprise (CDE) is the Ministry of Defence’s open portal for good ideas and innovative science that can be used in defence applications. CDE in conjunction with The Business Innovation Program of The Welsh Assembly Government, will be holding two seminars at Glyndwr University on Thursday 7th October. Each seminar must be booked separately.
The morning seminar “Innovation for the Front Line” will provide a general briefing on outline the opportunities and challenges in different areas of defence covering all types of science and engineering. It will show attendees how they can develop and submit proposals that will be assessed and possibly funded in just a few weeks.
The afternoon seminar “Sensing on the Battlefield” will provide a briefing on the issues and challenges of using sensors on the modern battlefield. It will highlight the areas where new technology and inspired innovation could make a difference in the future.
