Research in the School of Health, Social Care, Sport and Exercise Sciences has continued to expand throughout the year and this trend is set to continue.
The Centre for Sustainable Enterprise Research (CESER) has grown since its inception in 2007 to form a knowledge base which this year has contributed to the Welsh Assembly Government’s (WAG) initiatives on Sustainability.
In the Research Assessment Exercise 2008 the Centre performed well in the art and Design Unit of assessment with 45% of the reserach deemed to be at least of internationally recognised or internationally excellent quality (2* and 3* ratings) and a further 55% deemed to be of nationally recognised quality (1* rating).
