Keating Cylinders Ltd

Glyndwr Innovations and the School of Computing and Communication Technology are pleased to announce the approval of a Shorter KTP with Keating Specialist Cylinders Ltd.  The purpose of the project is to enhance the company’s presence in the security and specialist markets and to facilitate the training of staff in web design and marketing.   The project will last for 24 weeks and will be led by John Worden, Senior Lecturer in Computing. Mpulse Ltd

In 2010, the Northwest Regional Development Agency (NWDA) contacted Glyndwr Innovations Ltd to manage and deliver ILM Level 7 training in Executive Coaching and Mentoring to fifty individuals who were engaged as mentors on the NWDA Business Mentoring Programme.  The Business Mentoring Programme was a large-scale mentoring programme designed and managed by Mpulse on behalf of the NWDA.

Nick Dowse (Programme Manager, NWDA Business Mentoring Programme) said, "During their time as a provider to the NWDA, Glyndwr Innovations Ltd demonstrated a highly efficient and professional approach to project and contract management, successfully meeting all their delivery targets in line with agreed timescales and budgets.  In addition, they also provided excellent service quality in the delivery of the training."

 

Witter Towbars Ltd

Glyndwr Innovations introduced Whitter Towbars Ltd to the university's expertise in Technical Translation for the development of French Instruction Manuals.  for the full case study click here.

Clarendon Foods Ltd

Clarendon Foods Ltd through the KTP programme used the expertise of an associate and the school of Science and Technology to undertake a Quality Management System project.  For the full case study click here.

Dyesol Ltd

Dyesol Ltd is a world leading business providing Dye Solar Cell technology. The company has developed a process to fabricate Dye Solar Cells continuously on a sheet steel to provide a much cheaper alternative to conventional silicon photovoltaic panels.

The company requires a Shorter Knowledge Transfer Partnership (sKTP) in order to address a specific problem experienced following the introduction of the production of Dye Solar Cells via printing on a continuous web of sheet steel. The 30 week partnership enables the company to make use of a unique set of attributes with regard to solving the company’s critical problem.

The company will gain invaluable knowledge and skills with regards to the understanding of the complex issues raised by the project.  Furthermore, the project will offer Dr Rob English the valuable opportunity to apply his specific knowledge to a project with a clear focus on renewable energy. In addition, this project benefits the University in fulfilling its mission in supporting enterprise within the region.
