Laser photonics
OpTIC provides customised laser manufacture to client specifications. While other manufacturers can provide off-the-shelf solutions these rarely meet the needs of sophisticated applications. We design and project manage the process from design and manufacture through to commissioning and after sales service.
Capabilities include a range of pulsed neodymium YAG (Nd:YAG) and neodymium YLF (Nd:YLF) lasers, full-colour holographic printers, and laser optical and mechanical components, and subsystems.
We specialise in extremely stable, single-mode pulsed lasers for analogue and digital holography. Responding to the demands of full-colour holography, we have developed strengths in integrating neodymium-based lasers with non-linear optics to double and triple frequencies to produce laser light in the red, green and blue ranges.
Our products are currently used in nuclear fusion research, spectroscopy, particle image velocitometry, and interferometry. For one client we produced a Nd:Glass system that generates pulses of up to 10 Joules.
